This thatched self-catering guest cottage in the Western Cape
village of McGregor offers a charming and romantic getaway for
couples. Set separately in a beautiful, shady, private garden on the
main property of hosts, Rob and Cher Graham, it offers guest privacy
and tranquility.
The open-plan cottage features a comfortable queen-size bed with
mosquito net, an old-fashioned wood burning Dover stove fireplace
for winter warmth, a cosy sitting area with good lighting for
romance or reading, a well-equipped kitchenette with microwave and
oven and a bathroom with bath but no shower. A sheltered outdoor
shower with hot water is available for guest use.
Karoo Cottage is not equipped with a TV but has a good CD player and
a selection of CDs for some background music. Complimentary WI-FI is
available.
Shady nooks in the garden for reclining, reading or some
entertaining bird watching and an inviting salt water pool are yours
to enjoy.
Being a village with some good eating places and pubs and just 20
minutes drive from Robertson and the surrounding wine estates, there
is no shortage of places to visit, however if complete rest is the
order of the day, stay in and braai in the secluded open braai area
alongside the cottage or Weber on the patio.
(Please bring your own charcoal or briquettes. And please
note that if you are self- catering, it is recommended that you shop
before arriving in McGregor.)
Owner managed and serviced, we offer unpretentious, personalized
quality accommodation with attention to detail, warm hospitality and
respect and consideration for your privacy, comfort and enjoyment in
a home environment.
